4. The case of having obtained the approval of the Prime Minister (including the case of having been confirmed by the designated orgaization the said transportable articles satisty the provisions of Article 61-(42))under the provisions of Article 59-(2)paragraph 2 of the Law for Regulation of Nuclear Source Material, Nuclear Fuel Materials and Reactors of the same Law (including the case when this shall be applied in accordance with Article 66 paragraph 2 of the same Law)or having obtained a confirmation from the Minister of Transport or the Director of the Regional Transport Bureau under the provisions of Article 91- (9)paragraph 1 of the Regulations on Ship Transportation and Storage of Dangerous Cargo, shall be regarded as having obtained the confirmation under d), d)or f)of subparagraph 2 (to be limited to the items for the technical standards for transportable radioactive articles)specified in the Notification).

 

5. The case of having obtained the confirmation of the Director-General of the Science and Technology Agency under the provisions of Article 18-(2)paragraph 2 of the Law concerning Prevention from Radiation Hazards due to Radioisotopes, etc. (including the confirmation of the designated organisation to confirm the transportable articles under Article 41-(10)), shall be regarded as having obtained the confirmation under c)of subparagraph 2 paragraph 2 specified in the Notification.

 

(Towing of Objects)
Article 195. The safety standards in the case of an aircraft towing a glider under die provisions of Article 88 of the Law, shall be as follows:
(1)A liaison person shall be on board the aircraft which can accomnodate two or more persons (except when radio communications exist between the aircraft and the glider);
(2)Arrangements shall be established, before the commencement of towing, on the following matters:
a)Signs and their meanings;
b)Methods of depaure and towing;
c)Time, place and method of release of tow wire;
d)Other pertinent matters;
(3)The length of the tow wire shall be not less than 40 meters and not more than 80 meters;
(4)In the case of a take-off, a ground liaison person shall be positioned to assist the aircraft and the glider to effect adequate communications;
(5)When the aircraft releases the tow wire, the ground liaison person shall inform the aircraft whether the wire has been released or not;
(6)The tow wire shall normally be released at an altitude higher than or equal to 80 percent of the length of said tow wire;
